Strength in Your Struggle: Workshop & Institute

Professional Workshops and Institutes for Wellness, Leadership, and Organizational Resilience

Many people are carrying more than they say.

Stress, grief, burnout, family strain, workplace pressure, compassion fatigue, conflict, and spiritual discouragement often show up quietly in our homes, churches, schools, nonprofits, and organizations. Left unaddressed, these struggles affect how people communicate, lead, serve, make decisions, manage conflict, and care for one another.

Strength in Your Struggle is a professional learning and community care experience designed to help people recognize what stress has worn down, restore what relationships require, and build healthier cultures of support, resilience, and hope.

Led by Dr. H. Jean Wright II, Cliff Wright Jr., and Darryl Allen, these experiences blend clinical insight, faith-informed behavioral wellness, restorative practices, leadership development, and organizational strategy. CARES Learning Partnership offers two customized formats: a one-day community workshop and a two-day professional institute.

Two Options on Purpose

Whether your organization needs a meaningful community wellness event or a deeper professional development experience for leaders and teams, Strength in Your Struggle can be customized to fit your audience, goals, and setting.

Community Workshop

The One-Day Community Workshop is designed for churches, families, caregivers, lay leaders, ministry teams, and community members who need language, encouragement, and practical tools for healing, resilience, and relational care.

Professional Institute

The Two-Day Professional Institute is designed for leaders, educators, clergy, administrators, nonprofit teams, board members, and organizational decision-makers who need a deeper framework for wellness, leadership, culture, and implementation.

Both experiences help participants move beyond inspiration into practical application.

Option One: Strength in Your Struggle

A One-Day Community Workshop for Hope, Healing, and Resilience

Many people are surviving, but not fully well. They keep showing up, serving, working, parenting, leading, and caring for others while carrying stress, grief, discouragement, relational tension, and emotional exhaustion.

The one-day Strength in Your Struggle workshop creates a safe, reflective, and practical space for individuals and communities to better understand the impact of struggle on the whole person: emotionally, mentally, physically, relationally, and spiritually.

This workshop helps participants name what they are carrying without shame, recognize the signs of stress and discouragement, and identify practical next steps toward healing, connection, and resilience.

Option Two: Strength in Your Struggle Institute

A Two-Day Professional Institute for Wellness, Leadership, and Organizational Resilience

Stress, trauma, burnout, conflict, and discouragement are not only personal issues. They affect how people lead, serve, communicate, make decisions, build trust, and shape culture.

The Strength in Your Struggle Institute is a two-day professional learning experience designed for leaders and organizations navigating high-stress environments. This institute helps participants understand the impact of stress and struggle while developing practical tools for restorative leadership, relational wellness, conflict awareness, and organizational care.

This is not simply a motivational event. It is a structured professional development experience that helps leaders and teams examine the individual, relational, and organizational patterns that shape culture.

Who This Institute Is For

This institute is designed for:

  • Clergy and ministry leaders
  • School administrators
  • Nonprofit executives
  • Church boards and leadership teams
  • Educators and student support teams
  • Chaplains and pastoral care teams

What Participants Will Experience

The institute is built around three connected lenses:

The Individual

Participants explore how stress, trauma responses, spiritual discouragement, emotional fatigue, and whole-person wellness needs affect personal functioning, relationships, and decision-making.

Get started

The Leader

Participants develop restorative leadership practices rooted in consideration, listening, elicitation, assessment, intergenerational awareness, and relational attunement. The focus is not only on what leaders do, but on who leaders are becoming under pressure.
